HappyHalo Balaclavas
My handmade, knitted balaclavas are meant for people who wish to stay warm and happy. I prepare them with much love, using high quality Scandinavian yarn (60% wool, 20% nylon, 20% acrylic).
I vote for bright, bad ass colours and their combinations but you are welcome to order one with your own choice of colourcombo!
HappyHalos have no gender or age, they fit all shapes and come in two sizes (S and M). The small one is perfect for kiddos as well.
HappyHalos were born in 2023 out of a necessity to bring more joy and play into the challenging times. Granny squares are an endless playground of unexpected colour combinations and contrasts plus grannies are cool- so what better way to create these showstopper hoodies.
about me
I am a Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist: writer, director, screenwriter. I work my ass off to create things I consider meaningful and that have an impact (installations, exhibitions, documentaries, novels, fiction, non-fiction). Inequality and injustice of any type make me furious and I constantly get involved with projects that I believe can make a difference.
HappyHalos started as a project to lift my own spirit. I prepared a few for my closest badass people as a gift and the word spread around. I soon found myself crocheting all evenings long- it made me very Happy and seeing my friends and friends of friends getting Happy receiving their colourblast hoodies made me even Happier. So Happy shall continue.
